Biography

Tiffany Hentschel is an accomplished Human Resources executive, educator, and consultant with over three decades of progressive leadership experience. She holds a Master of Arts in Human Resources Development and a Bachelor of Arts in Human Resources Management from Webster University. Tiffany is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and a SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP).

Throughout her distinguished career with Johnson County Government, Tiffany served as Deputy Director of Human Resources and previously as HR Manager. In these roles, she provided strategic leadership, coached senior managers, oversaw complex  employee relations issues, and fostered organizational development through training and cultural initiatives. She also played a key role in shaping HR policies and leading countywide leadership development programs, contributing as a faculty member for both the Leadership Empowers All People and Supervisor Training Institute programs.

Earlier in her career, Tiffany built a strong foundation in recruiting, employee relations, and training through her role in the Johnson County Library and the manufacturing sector. Her experience includes designing and delivering management development courses, facilitating workplace investigations, and interpreting employment law to guide organizational compliance.

In addition to her leadership roles, Tiffany is the founder of TLH Training and Consulting, where she has spent over two decades designing and delivering customized training programs, policy development, and HR consulting for libraries, nonprofits, and public agencies across the Midwest.  More recently, she created a new business, Exceptional People Practices, allowing her to help others empower employees, elevate leaders and enhance culture.

Tiffany’s passion for learning and development is evident through her extensive speaking engagements, including at the Public Library Association Conference, and her published work in Public Libraries magazine. She has also made a lasting impact through her service on several nonprofit boards, including the United Way of Johnson County, the United Way of Greater Kansas City, Women United Cabinet and the Cass County Public Library Foundation.
