AASHTO Leadership Series

The Public Management Center works with the American Association of State Highway Transportation Officials (AASHTO) to provide leadership training throughout the year.  The AASHTO Leadership Institute is a 9-day conference hosted in Lawrence in the early summer. 

ALI is geared to mid-career transportation professionals from around the country.  In addition to transportation briefings, participants learn to develop themselves as leaders, how to be more effective in managing people, and how to manage the work to meet today's expectations. 

The AASHTO Executive Institute (AEI) is hosted in Washington DC in the spring.  AEI is geared to senior-level leaders and provides the high-performing leadership training necessary to prepare participants to become the next generation of leaders in the national transportation arena.
