Kristi Northcutt joined the PMC as its director in May 2025. Prior to coming to KU, she served as the City Administrator in Lindsborg, Kansas (2021-2025) and as the Senior Director of Community Relations in Anthem, Arizona (2014-2021). She has managed large teams of employees in city administration including public affairs, legislative affairs, business development, customer service, special events, conference center management, tourism, public safety, parks and recreation, and public works. In Arizona, she also served as the head of the world renown Anthem Veterans Memorial.
Prior to her work in Arizona, she was on the team that planted the K-State Olathe campus, after working with Johnson County (Kan.), K-State, and KU leadership to pass the JCERT sales tax. No stranger to higher education, Kristi has also served on the executive staff at Bethany College (Lindsborg, Kan.).
In just three years under Kristi’s leadership, the City of Lindsborg fully renovated its Public Safety Center, secured an $8M KDOT bridge removal project, generated over $2.5M in grant awards, expanded the electric substation, completed a floodplain project, built new athletic fields, opened a $3.5M public-private childcare center, continued buildout of a new housing development, and added an outdoor fitness park. Her work in Arizona led to revamped water rates for her community after years of work with the state legislature and corporation commission, several new parks and amenities, an expanded community center, new housing developments and businesses, and several national awards.
Kristi has undergraduate degrees in English & Communication from Bethany College, a master’s degree in organizational leadership from Baker University (Baldwin City, Kan.), and is a Certified Public Manager with Distinction through the University of Kansas.
