Awards & Recognition
In 2011 custom course director Jonathan Morris worked with HR staff from the City of Olathe, KS to modify the 3-day supervisory training to include additional content specific to the City's goals for supervisors. The adapted course was then offered to the nearly 200 supervisory staff working for the City, including the City Manager. The program was recognized in January 2012 by the the Kansas City Chapter of the American Society for Training and Development» with the Best Practice Award» for the category of Workplace Learning and Performance (WLP) through Outcomes.
In May 2012, the Olathe SLT program was featured in an invited presentation by Jonathan Morris at the International Conference of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) held in Denver, Colorado.
In September 2012, the KU Public Management Center and City of Olathe, Kansas were honored with a 2012 Bright Ideas Award from the Harvard University Kennedy School of Government’s Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation.

Supervisory Training: The Heart of True Leadership received an award in February 2007 as an Exceptional Non-Credit Program from the Association of Continuing Higher Education, Region VII.
